Mallory and Shaun Kaiser, along with their sons, Kaz and Zak, operate The Goat Patch – a family farm in Fourth Creek, Alberta, raising a kiko goat herd and farming alongside extended family. Since 2015, they have focused on building a strong presence in the kiko industry, maintaining a closed herd with strict biosecurity and contributing to initiatives such as the Goat Code of Practice, traceability, scrapie prevention, and M. Ovi research, while also importing new kiko genetics into Canada. Through their family venture, YK Grains, they farm approximately 5,500 acres of green peas, fescue, canola, wheat, barley, and oats.
