I am building on three generations of Fraser Valley agriculture, leading cutting-edge poultry research while honouring the legacy of my late father, Dr. Stewart Ritchie. I operate S. J. Ritchie Research Farms and work with universities and industry partners to push the boundaries of broiler performance and environmentally sustainable farm designs. My father left me the opportunities he spent a lifetime building, and I’ve worked hard to honour that gift by elevating our farm into a leader in poultry research and sustainable production. I also work with Canadian Poultry Consultants, a poultry veterinary practice, helping local poultry farmers and collaborating with R&D initiatives. When I’m not in the barn, I’m hands-on with my fullblood Wagyu herd, sharing high-quality local beef with friends, family, and the wider community. There are many people who helped me get to where I am at today.
